BARATTI
SUP EXCURSION

Paddle along the Etruscan coast exploring the bay of Baratti, to the enchant of Buca delle Fate and Cala San Quirico. Along the way you’ll enjoy the fantastic view of the Populonia Castle from the sea. The view is extraordinary: the crystal-clear sea with its various shades of blue that contrast with the clear rocks of the cliff, the green of the Mediterranean scrub and the silhouette of the Isola d’Elba on the distance. Despite the fact that Buca delle Fate is reachable on foot, arriving by sea has a very different charm: you can explore every cove, examine every rock, and it is common to find yourself paddling over shoals of fish. 

The meeting point is at La Torraccia, middle way from Piombino to San Vincenzo, where the activity starts in the morning with a relaxed paddling along the coast, headed to Baratti we’ll have a first break close to a small rocky island called Lo Stellino. The tour continues to Cala del Pozzino, and La Scivola. Once in Baratti the group will have a 30 mins stop for a swim drink and some snack before keep paddling along the coast is Populonia, the only etruscan city on the sea, nestled in the Baratti Gulf.

The paddling tour continues to La Buca delle Fate, where the group will stop for swimming, snorkeling and a quick lunch. After lunch the group will start paddling back at slow pace headed to Baratti, where the activity will ends on the beach with a drink at sunset at the chiringuito.
